Floor and Foundation Planning
The Rancher kit includes pre-cut cedar floor joists and 5/8 in plywood floor panels. Before assembly, prepare a flat, level site that supports the full floor system and provides drainage away from the shed.
Cedarshed recommends patio stones, pressure-treated 4x4 beams over a prepared base, or a concrete slab. Foundation requirements can vary by location, so check local building and permit requirements before preparing the site.
Delivery and Unloading
The current estimated lead time is about 2 weeks for production plus approximately 1 week for delivery. Delivery time depends on the distance from British Columbia, Canada, to your location.
The freight carrier will call to arrange a delivery window after the shipment reaches the local terminal. Delivery is made to the property line or driveway when the carrier can reach the location safely.
Most shipments can be lowered from the truck with a liftgate. If liftgate service is not available for your delivery, two people can usually unload the panels by hand in about 15 to 30 minutes after removing the paper wrap and plastic straps. Let Homestead Supplier know before ordering if the delivery address has narrow roads, limited truck access, steep grades, or another access concern.
