The Rug Decor

The Rug Decor collection brings together hand-knotted, hand-tufted and hand-loomed wool rugs, from Oushak florals and Tree of Life patterns to modern abstracts and solid colors. There are rugs to build a room around, and quieter designs that work with the furniture and fabrics you already have.

A patterned rug can bring several colors together beneath a sofa or dining table. A solid design lets the texture and color of the rug take the lead. Browse the collection above to compare the designs, then open a rug to see its available sizes, shapes and materials.

Here are three designs to start with, whether you want a traditional pattern or a simpler look:

CHOOSING A RUG FOR YOUR HOME

Size and placement. Measure the area around your furniture before choosing a size. Removable tape on the floor can help you see where the edges will fall. For a dining room, allow space for chairs to move; beside a bed, think about where you want the rug underfoot.

Color and pattern. Pull a color from a traditional rug into your cushions or curtains, or choose a solid rug when the room already has plenty of pattern. Consider the rug alongside your flooring and larger pieces of furniture.

Material and construction. This collection includes hand-knotted, hand-tufted and hand-loomed rugs. Some designs combine wool with another fiber, including viscose. Check the individual listing when you want a particular construction or an all-wool rug.

Swatches. Selected designs offer a 1x1 swatch so you can see the color and feel the material at home before choosing a full-size rug. Look for the swatch in the size options when available.
