Delivery Instruction

Assembly Manual

Lead time for production is 2 weeks or less. Your greenhouse will be delivered in 2-9 days depending on the distance from our site in Ohio to your home.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

It is curbside delivery. Although our trailers and carriers most often come with liftgates to unload your shed, there might be certain factors such as terrain, road clearance, or the weight of the pallet being too heavy for the liftgate to unload which might prevent that from doing so. We highly encourage you to have 2-3 people ready on the day of the delivery to manually unload the pieces on the pallet one by one. Each individual piece would weigh around 1-100 lbs. so it is manageable to have one person on the trailer carry down the piece and the other receives it from the curb. This colonial-style greenhouse features Dutch doors with windows, colonial hinges, and latched doors. The greenhouse features an optional floor kit and a Dutch door style that allows you to add ventilation to your Garden Shed.

This large and beautiful greenhouse features a Sunsky corrugated polycarbonate roof and panelized wall sections for easy installation. Panelized Kits: The Shed comes in large panelized sections. Recommended for most users as it is easier to assemble and saves you significant time. Each panel is perfectly square & ready to assemble! 

SPECIFICATIONS: 

FEATURES:

• Made with Amish Craftsmanship
• 6-foot high sidewalls provide ample storage room, creating an efficient use of space.
• The single-hung windows are 18" x 22" and come with half screens to allow ventilation and natural light to filter through.
• The shed features 10" x 18" transom windows with tempered glass that provides natural light and enhances its look.
• A 34" x 72" Colonial Dutch door is included with a D-handle latch for secure closure.
• The wall studs are constructed from 2 x 4's -16" on center with LP Smartside siding, Roof Trusses are 2 x 4's-24" on center made of OSB roofing for exceptional durability.
• The first number of the building size is the truss size, so an 8' x 10' building has an 8' wide truss.
• We recommend a crushed stone base that is 1' wider on either side of the Colonial Gable Garden Shed for a secure and level foundation.
• The siding overlaps roughly 3" along the wood floor,  there is no moisture barrier. You can put this shed on top of a cement slab or wood floor  (You can retrofit for a moisture barrier, but we do not provide instructions for this.)
• The exterior of the shed is 98% pre-primed, while the interior has not been primed.
• The straight trim is pre-fastened to the panels, adding to the ease of assembly.
• Three sides of treated shelves provide plenty of storage space for all your needs.
• The Sunsky soft white corrugated polycarbonate roof provides protection from the elements.
• LP Smart siding is pre-fastened to the wall panels, which makes assembly easy and accurate.
• High-quality composite material corner trim adds to the overall durability
• All necessary hardware for assembly is included: screws, nails, latches, and handles.
• A printed manual with clear instructions for assembly is also included.

CUSTOMER PROVIDES:

• Paint
• Floor (if the building is not purchased with a floor kit)
• If you will be preparing a cement/concrete slab, it would have to be exactly the same size as the unit. If the concrete slab is larger then you would have to trim the 3” skirt that falls below the bottom plate that is designed to wrap around the flooring.

The above items can easily be purchased by the customer at a local hardware store.

Optional floor kit:

• Treated 2 x 4’s – 16” (OC) for base
• 4 x 8 – 5/8″ Plywood Flooring
• The Optional Floor joist are 2 x 4’s – 16″ on center with 5/8″ CDX plywood
• The floor size should be exactly the same size as the building

Do I need a Floor Kit? This depends on your preference. If you are not getting a floor kit from us, you can either build your own floor or create a cement slab for your shed. Please take note that it should be exactly the same size as the shed.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What size truck would deliver?
- As an example, the 8x8 Colonial Gable Greenhouse Kit, will be a semi-truck. Kindly email us at info@homesteadsupplier.com for all other sizes/

2. Do I need a pressure-treated wood frame to anchor the greenhouse into, or can I literally just assemble and place it on the gravel? Gravel to be the "floor". Can I just stake/anchor the greenhouse into the ground? Or does it even need to be anchored?

- Yes, you will need some sort of frame or footer to attach the wall sections too. These can be heavy so the framing will have to be substantial. The walls cannot be assembled on the gravel directly.

Also please note that the size of the frame/footer needs to be the exact size of the unit they purchase as there is a 3” skirt that falls below the bottom plate that is designed to wrap around the flooring. If the framing is larger than they would have to cut this 3” off.
