The Cedarshed Sunhouse is an ideal choice for greenhouses, featuring a stylish and functional design that is sure to turn heads. The current lead time frame is 2 weeks for production plus a 1 week delivery time. How long the delivery will take will depend on the distance from B.C. Canada (just a little north of Seattle, Washington) to your desired delivery location.

Shed Kit
Standard kit comes with a floor. The 2x4 Floor joists and then 5/8” plywood on top. If you choose to remove the floor option and place the shed on top of a concrete slab, you can nail it directly to the cement slab with a vapor barrier underlay. The cement should be the exact same size of the shed floor. Call us for the exact floor size as all shed sizes are nominal.

IMPORTANT SHIPPING INFO: Shipments will be delivered to or as close to your property line and or driveway provided the location is accessible by the delivering truck driver. Please let us know beforehand any unusual or difficult location or delivery issues. 90% of the time the driver will be able to unload the shipment.
If the delivery truck in your area does not have a lift gate or pallet jack, you will be required to unload the pieces. If unloading the pieces, customers will be expected to cut metal strapping securing product to the pallet and therefore will require the use of wire cutters. We recommended that you have at least 2 people to help offload the kit pieces from the truck. Please note that although total freight could be over 2000 lbs, the kit pieces can be offloaded one at a time, with individual pieces ranging between 1- 100 lbs. The shipping company will call you directly to schedule the delivery.

Workbenches - 34" by 139" workbench included ensures that you can have enough room for all sorts of projects and plants.
Door - You can easily secure your dutch door by having a deadbolt on the top portion of the door and a locking doorknob or door lever on the bottom portion. You can also add a surface bolt on the interior of the top door as well as a flush bolt for a double Dutch door. Oh, one more thing you can also put your door on either end.
Window - You can now have the choice to let the fresh air come flow inside your Sunhouse. Can be placed on any wall panel you choose.

Free Shipping - We currently offer free shipping on almost all items over $199 to the contiguous United States. For some heavier and bigger items such as sheds we may charge shipping for some models to some states. All items under $199 have a low shipping rate which can be viewed when checking out. If you would like your item shipped somewhere outside of the contiguous United States, please email us and we can provide a custom shipping quote.
Order Confirmation - After your order is placed, you will receive an email confirmation which ensures that we have received your order. While we try our best to keep stock and inventory up to date, when we receive your order, we will immediately confirm the item is in stock and ready to ship. In a case an item is on backorder, we will let you know by email or phone. If you choose not to wait until your item is back in stock, we will promptly provide a refund for the item.
Order Shipment - Your item will ship within the designated lead time posted on your product listing page, which varies depending on the product. Once your item has shipped, you will receive an email confirmation with your tracking number and any other shipping information. Most items require approximately 24 hours for the tracking information to be updated.
Damages - You should inspect all shipments at the time of delivery. If your shipment is damaged, you should note it with the driver when signing for the delivery. If you would like to cancel after your order has shipped, you will have to follow our return process to return your item. Customized orders and orders that are built, such as sheds, cannot be cancelled once they begin production.
Returns – Many items can be returned for up to 30 days from the delivery date. Customized orders and orders that are built, such as sheds, cannot be returned. To start a return, please email us at sales@homesteadsupplier.com. All products must be returned unopened and in the original packaging. Reason for return must be provided. All returns are subject to a 10% - 25% restocking fee which will be deducted from your refund to the same credit card used for your purchase. A Return Authorization Number is required before sending back a return. Please contact our customer service to receive a Return Authorization Number. You will be responsible for all shipping costs for a return unless the return is due to a manufacturing defect or otherwise approved from customer service. Can you attach the wall panels directly to a concrete slab with hold down bolts rather than using the wood floor structure?

Yes, you absolutely can. This will have to be a special customization request which you will have to notify us of. Basically, we will remove the floor option and modify the sidewalls to be able to be secured to a concrete slab.

Yes, the 12x12 comes with the thermoclear windows on both sides.
Are the greenhouses good for growing hemp?
Hello, yes you can certainly use the Cedarshed Sunhouse to grow hemp. The greenhouse provides a warm growing environment that lets you grow all year and also has a small amount of natural airflow in the gable area which would help prevent mold and fungus.
Can you explain the 7’ high wall option. The photo doesn’t help. I’m interested in either the 8x16 or 12x12 kit. Thank you.

Does this shed need a concrete foundation? We are thinking to put it in our backyard the gravel area which is flat
You can build on a concrete slab or on gravel. With gravel it is recommended to have 4x4 treated beams.
4x4 PRESSURE TREATED BEAM FOUNDATION You can build directly on pressure-treated beams or railroad ties laid on a properly prepared construction site. Run beams perpendicular to floor joists. Use a 2x4 straight piece of lumber on edge and a carpenter’s level to position correctly.
To prevent the beams from shifting, secure them with a 1/2" inch rebar inserted through holes drilled in the beams and driven 3 to 4 feet into the ground. Leave each side or end of the foundation open to promote drainage and air circulation beneath the floor.
I would like to know exactly what the ThermoClear roof panels are made of. If they are polycarbonate, is there an option to upgrade to glass?
We do not have an option to have the roof panel upgraded to glass. Customers will have to do this in case they want to change it after assembly.
What is the snow load & wind rating on your greenhouses?
We don’t have stamped or engineered snow or wind load ratings for this specific greenhouse. Snow load should be ok upto 50 lbs/sq ft. Wind ratings upto 80 mph free standing. Anything more should be anchored to the ground.
Are these built to survive in update New York winters where we occasionally get 34-36" of snow in a couple of days, winds gusting to 59-60 mph and subzero weather for several days?
All products come with maintenance. Specially during snow months, snow needs to be cleared occasionally and some tips in the standard manual on how to re-enforce the shed roof. Also for high winds, you will need to anchor down the shed with storm ties or consult a framer/landscaper.
I’m considering the 8x12 shed. Could the door be place on the long side opposite the thermo clear panels?
Yes, the door panel can be placed on the long side where the taller wall panels are.

The two pallet shipment were neatly packed and undamaged; excellent customer service including thorough communication on what to expect for delivery. although you plan on putting it together on your own, some knowledge in carpentry would probably be useful. The directions for building the greenhouse were sufficient. We are very satisfied with this greenhouse overall.
Bought this for my teenage kids. I was originally searching for a storage shed to convert as a study room until I saw this greenhouse... The clear panels made it a perfect choice it doesn't get too bright when its extremely sunny outside because of the filter in the panels. It provided plenty of space for me to store my gardening tools. This is a good investment. I would recommend this to my relatives and friends!
We shopped around quite a bit for different greenhouses and settled on this Cedar one. The delivery went smoothly and they placed the pallet in our driveway. We had to move the pieces to the area of our backyard where we put everything together. Was easy to move with two people though. The assembly went more quickly than we thought it would and then we finished it with a Cedar Semi transparent Stain which looks beautiful in my opinion :). Glad we got this and highly recommend for amateur do-it-yourselfers.
This greenhouse is great - we had a great time putting it together. Really good quality materials which seems to be rare these days... The directions could use a little bit of improvement but overall pretty easy to follow. Finished product is nice and tight.
