Every time you flush, the barrier material lining in the bowl is collapsed and twisted, effectively sealing the waste and compressing it into the bottom of the container. This patented process of sealing off the waste in the barrier material ensures that there is nothing to see or to smell. Once the cycle is almost complete, a new lining of barrier material re-coats the bowl, and the Laveo™ by Dry Flush is ready to use again – all in just under 20 seconds.
For comfort, the seat and height are standard toilet sizes. When done, users simply push the flush button as they would with a traditional toilet. How- ever, instead of requiring water, extensive plumbing, or expensive chemicals, the proprietary Laveo double-layered barrier bag automatically encloses urine and stool in a spill-resistant, odorless way. The dispenser automatically brings in new, clean barrier bag material for the next flush.
Each barrier bag cartridge can handle an average of 15 flushes.
Once full, a cartridge may be easily removed in a sanitary way and discarded in a trash container. There is no dirty water to dump or chemicals to pour. Installing a new cartridge takes less than one minute.

The self-contained Laveo Dry Flush portable toilet uses 12V DC power with 4.9 amp flush and 0.0 amp idle. Power options include long-life rechargeable batteries, solar chargers, and AC adaptors. A charger cable is included. Other options include handrails and privacy shelters. The “go anywhere” Laver toilet may be permanently installed or easily removed, utilized elsewhere, and re-installed whenever needed.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where does the waste go?
Waste is automatically encapsulated during a “flush” and hidden in a lined container under the seat. When the cartridge is expended, lift up the toilet seat and the trim piece just under it. Lift out the liner bag containing wrapped waste. You will never see or smell waste at any time.
What about freezing?
No water means that the unit is immune to freezing temperatures. The battery is good down to at least -20°F (-30°C) depending upon charge condition. Waste will freeze, but that causes no issues.
What happens when the cartridge runs out?
A red line appears on the material that lets you know that the cartridge has about two more flushes and you should change the cartridge. If you ignore the indicator, the material will run out in the next flush or two, and the top edge of the material will be visible.
Can I install the Laveo™ by Dry Flush in my shower area?
You can, but the Laveo™ by Dry Flush is water resistant but not completely waterproof. It must be covered with a trash bag or some suitable waterproof cover
How much weight can the unit hold?
It has been tested to 500 lbs without appreciable deformation.
Yikes! Someone used the toilet before I had a chance to put in a cartridge – now what?
This is always a possibility, but don’t worry. No damage has been done. The rigid container has collected the waste, and it must be emptied and cleaned.
Is it legal to dump human waste in landfills?
Yes! All landfills accept human waste to accommodate baby and adult diapers. Standard regulations require that waste be contained in plastic bags. (we are currently working on a biodegradable bagging system)
Why is there no odor?
The best thing about Laveo™ by Dry Flush! Over two years in development, Laveo™ by Dry Flush’s proprietary barrier material completely isolates waste and odor. Once the toilet is flushed you will never see it again. Furthermore, when the unit is emptied, it’s really empty. There is nothing to create a cumulative or lingering “dirty toilet” odor. All surfaces that come in contact with waste are discarded in the double-layered barrier bag.
How long does the battery last?
The battery will last for several months, depending upon weather and for at least 300 flushes before charging is needed.
How do I clean the Laveo™ by Dry Flush?
Just wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. There is no holding tank to clean. All surfaces that contact waste are discarded when you change refills.
Is the material biodegradable?
Not at this time, but a biodegradable material is under development.

Free Shipping - We currently offer free shipping on almost all items over $199 to the contiguous United States. For some heavier and bigger items such as sheds we may charge shipping for some models to some states. All items under $199 have a low shipping rate which can be viewed when checking out. If you would like your item shipped somewhere outside of the contiguous United States, please email us and we can provide a custom shipping quote.
Order Confirmation - After your order is placed, you will receive an email confirmation which ensures that we have received your order. While we try our best to keep stock and inventory up to date, when we receive your order, we will immediately confirm the item is in stock and ready to ship. In a case an item is on backorder, we will let you know by email or phone. If you choose not to wait until your item is back in stock, we will promptly provide a refund for the item.
Order Shipment - Your item will ship within the designated lead time posted on your product listing page, which varies depending on the product. Once your item has shipped, you will receive an email confirmation with your tracking number and any other shipping information. Most items require approximately 24 hours for the tracking information to be updated.
Damages - You should inspect all shipments at the time of delivery. If your shipment is damaged, you should note it with the driver when signing for the delivery. If the item is damaged, please contact us immediately and let us know. Depending on the damage we may be able to send a replacement part if that makes more sense than replacing the item. Replacement returns due to our error are NOT subject a restocking charge.
Order Cancellation - If you need to cancel an order, please contact us within 24 hours of placing the order. If your order has already been processed, you are subject to a 4% cancellation fee. If you would like to cancel after your order has shipped, you will have to follow our return process to return your item. Customized orders and orders that are built, such as sheds, cannot be cancelled once they begin production.
Returns – Many items can be returned for up to 30 days from the delivery date. Customized orders and orders that are built, such as sheds, cannot be returned. To start a return, please email us at email@example.com. All products must be returned unopened and in the original packaging. Reason for return must be provided. All returns are subject to a 10% - 25% restocking fee which will be deducted from your refund to the same credit card used for your purchase. You will be responsible for all shipping costs for a return unless the return is due to a manufacturing defect or otherwise approved from customer service.
