This high-quality wood garden shed features double doors to allow easy access, so you don’t need to worry about squeezing in your larger equipment. The windows provide plenty of light and a nice added touch.
Shed assembled in the videos is a Riverside shed model but assembly is the same.

Production Lead Time is 12 days. Shipping time is an additional 2-9 days depending on how far you are from Ohio.
Note: For the 8x10 and 10x10 size, the 30x36 window can’t be placed on the same wall as the double door due to space limitations. It will need to be installed on a different side wall. Please indicate the preferred placement in the “Special Instructions to Seller” box at checkout.
Shipping
The kit will arrive in 1 or 2 large wooden crates. This is standard curbside delivery in almost all cases the driver will be able to unload the crates and put them in an easy-to-get-to area. If the delivery truck does not have a liftgate available, you will be required to have 2 people available to unload the pieces from the crate. The pieces are easy to carry with 2 people. If you want to ensure the unloading of the kit, we also have a flatbed truck with a forklift delivery option which runs around $200-$900 depending on the location and size of the delivery. All EZ fit sheds come partially pre-assembled. All of the wall sidings are already attached to the 2x4 framing and come in 4-foot wide wall panels. As much pre-assembly as can be done ahead of time is completed without shipping the shed all put together. We provide step-by-step instructions for you to finalize putting everything together and an average assembly with 2 people takes about 8 hours. We do not provide installers but if you do not want to build the shed yourself, many customers hire a local handyman to do it.
Need a different configuration? We can place the double doors (or a single door with windows) on the 180-degree opposite side—just let us know in the “Special instructions for seller” section when placing your order. You can also request to have windows / doors placed in different locations. If you have a specific layout in mind, feel free to email us a sketch—we’ll review it and let you know if the design can be accommodated.

12" Decorative T-Hinge with Bushings are standard on all EZ-fit Shed Kits
A Double Top Plate creates an incredibly stiff wall and a very strong corner where the top plates overlap at the ends.
Stronger Walls - Straighter Walls. Increased Nailing Surface - Standard on All High-Sidewalls. Using computerized component saws, each individual wall stud is cut with a specialized notch.
The trim serves an aesthetic purpose by providing a contrast to the color of the siding while protecting the fascia board from exposure to the elements.
The standard 60" door allows for easy access. Add an optional ramp for easy retrieval of your lawn and garden equipment.

Floor and Shingles can be purchased at your local hardware store. You can also purchase the optional floor kit we have in the add-on section. The floor can consist of 4x4's, 2x4's, and plywood - we can give you the details if you would like.
The shed can also be placed directly on a concrete slab if desired - please select the pressure treated option and we will treat the bottom plate (bottom of the wall) of the shed. If placing the shed directly on a concrete slab, we recommend that the slab be 1/2 an inch smaller than the size of the shed. This way the bottom plate can rest on the perimeter of the concrete slab and the wall siding can go down slightly down the side of the slab. This will prevent rainwater from entering the shed. If using a slab that is larger than the size of the shed please let us know and we will attach the bottom plate at the bottom of the wall.
Ramp is optional. It consists of 2- 24" wide x 48" long ramp sections and fits both the 60" and 72" door. The ramp only works for sheds that have a wooden floor. If you are building the wooden floor on top of a concrete pad then the ramp will work. If you are using the concrete pad for the floor of the shed then the ramp won’t work. It will automatically come with a diamond plate door threshold for the double door.
The ramp will come with a diamond plate threshold that will attach to the edge of the floor doorway with screws, this threshold has a J-Hook that the ramp will hook into.

1. Possible to do a taller door - something like 82" rough opening height? Yes, we can frame an 82” high door opening in the wall on 7’ or 8’ high walls.
2. What is the Roof Overhang? 12 inches on all sides.
3. How many runners for the sheds? An 8’ wide shed has 3 runners. 10’ and 12’ wide sheds have 4 runners.
4. Windows on EZ Fit Sheds, single or double pane? Single Pane..
5. Can the floor kit go on top of a concrete slab and if so, how large should the slab be? Yes, you can build a wooden floor on top of a concrete slab if you want to.
6. What are the largest size containers that the pieces come in. h x w x depth? As an example, A 12x24 shed will be shipped in 2 pallets. The 1st pallet is 50x83x64 weighing 1700 lb. The 2nd pallet size is 50x97x38 weighing 1700 lb. Please send us an email at info @homesteadsupplier.com for the other sizes.
7. What is the thickness of the plywood walls? Do you use T111 Plywood? The smart side siding is 7/16 inch thick. It’s not plywood. It is an engineered wood treated to resist termites and fungal decay.
8. What is the thickness of the roof? Is the roof OSB or CDX? The roof sheathing is 7/16” osb.
9. How long will it take to install the roof shingles and to paint the shed once assembled? For an 8x12, 1 person can shingle it in 1.5 hours. Painting: 1 person = 4 hours. For a 12x14, 1 person can shingle in 3 hours. Painting = 7 hours
10. Is the floor package treated? If so, does it offgass? The floor is 3/4” pro struct which is also treated to resist termites and fungal decay.
11. What is the total weight of the base kit? As an example, for the 8x12 Riverside, base kit is 1800 pounds. Kindly send us an email at info@homesteadsupplier.com for the other sizes.
12. What is the ramp length/width and what height difference does it take up (meaning what is the ultimate height from the concrete pad to the top of the threshold of the double doors)?
The ramp is 4 ½” high by the doors of the shed, It is either 60” wide or 72” wide and both are 42” deep.

Order Confirmation - After your order is placed, you will receive an email confirmation which ensures that we have received your order. While we try our best to keep stock and inventory up to date, when we receive your order, we will immediately confirm the item is in stock and ready to ship. In a case an item is on backorder, we will let you know by email or phone. If you choose not to wait until your item is back in stock, we will promptly provide a refund for the item.
Order Shipment - Your item will ship within the designated lead time posted on your product listing page, which varies depending on the product. Once your item has shipped, you will receive an email confirmation with your tracking number and any other shipping information. Most items require approximately 24 hours for the tracking information to be updated.
Damages - You should inspect all shipments at the time of delivery. If your shipment is damaged, you should note it with the driver when signing for the delivery. Order Cancellation - If you need to cancel an order, please contact us within 24 hours of placing the order. If your order has already been processed, you are subject to a 4% cancellation fee. If you would like to cancel after your order has shipped, you will have to follow our return process to return your item. Customized orders and orders that are built, such as sheds, cannot be cancelled once they begin production.
Returns – Many items can be returned for up to 30 days from the delivery date. Customized orders and orders that are built, such as sheds, cannot be returned. To start a return, please email us at sales@homesteadsupplier.com. All products must be returned unopened and in the original packaging. Reason for return must be provided. All returns are subject to a 10% - 25% restocking fee which will be deducted from your refund to the same credit card used for your purchase. A Return Authorization Number is required before sending back a return. Please contact our customer service to receive a Return Authorization Number. You will be responsible for all shipping costs for a return unless the return is due to a manufacturing defect or otherwise approved from customer service. I’m interested in the 8x12 shed. Can concrete roofing tiles be used on the roof to conform to the tiles on the house?
Our customers can definitely choose to purchase their own type of roof shingles depending on their aesthetic.
This is one reason why we don't ship out roof shingles together with the kit because most customers would like to buy their own. Just to share as well, for an 8x12 you will need approximately 177 square feet worth of shingles.
For the Homestead 10'by12': can I have the double doors replaced with glass paned French doors by my installer?

Yes, the smaller window can be put on the left side, 180 degrees opposite from where it is in the picture. In the 'Special Instructions' section when placing your order online just add that note.
How many shingles do we need to buy? Do we need to buy any nails or fasteners if so what kind?
We provide all of the hardware for the shed, but not for the roof. You are responsible for shingles, drip edge, nails for shingles, etc. Please see chart below for number of shingles depending on the size of the shed.

Do you have the install manual so that I can read more about the details of how to install this kit?
How does it ship? Is it palleted? What is the weight? I need to fit it in the back of a full-size pickup to transport it to the build site.
Hi There, if you email us at info@homesteadsupplier.com we can email you the install manual. Which size shed are you interested in? (the weight and size varies). The shed ships via freight and it is palleted. Are you able to have it shipped directly to the build site? It may be difficult to fit in the back of a pick up truck depending on the truck you have and the size of the shed you order. It could be possible in multiple trips maybe.
What is the snow load and what kind of headers on doors and windows
The ground snow load is 20 PSI. The shed can withstand any weather conditions.
I'm interested in the Heritage 8x12. Can another window be factory added so that both gable ends have a window? Also, can the double door be put on the left front instead of the right front as shown?
Yes, you can request to add another window on the other gable side end. The existing window on the right gable side end is 24x36, if you'd like to get the same size for the other end, it would cost $259.00. For the double door in front, yes you can also request to swap the double door and window location. By the way, the window in front is 30x36.
